Paul Maziar

Paul Robert Maziar, 60, of Dresden, died at 6:56 A.M. on Monday, August 17, 2026, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 13, 1966, in Zanesville, a son of the late Peter and Waveline (Seevers) Maziar. Paul worked for Robertson Construction in Newark, Ohio. He was a wild child at heart and loved anything that gave him a sense of adventure, riding four-wheelers and bikes, being outdoors, and spending time hunting and fishing. He was also creative and enjoyed taxidermy of game birds.
As much as he loved his own adventures he was always willing to show up for other people. He was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need while never asking for anything in return. He will be missed by all that loved him.
He is survived by his wife of almost 35 years, Tawny Lynn Maziar, whom he married August 29, 1991; two children, Ashley (Derek Efaw) Maziar and Austin (Shealynn) Maziar; grandchildren, Klayton Maziar, Raevyn Maziar, and Brixton Bullock-Ames; brothers and sisters, Connie Hiles, Steven Maziar, Mike (Kathy) Maziar, and Peggy (Benny) Damron; and his hunting dog and best friend, Grady.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his nephew Chad Maziar; sister, Nancy Snode, and brother, Peter Maziar.
A cremation will take place under the direction of BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, AT OUR LOCALLY OWNED AND OPERATED CREMATORY.
