Muskingum County K-9 Adoption Center Dog of the Week; Meet Trey!

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – It’s time to head on over to the Muskingum County Sheriff’s K-9 Adoption Center to meet this week’s pet of the week.

Meet Trey! This cattle dog mix is around one or two years old, keeps a clean kennel. K-9 Adoption Center Volunteer Doug McQuaid tells us more about the kind of dog you can expect when you adopt Trey.

“We found out a lot of great things about Trey. Basically loves belly rubs, squeaky toys, loves to play in the play yard, gets along very well with other dogs, loves belly rubs. A little strong when you first start out walking him but naturally that’s when they first come out of the building. It’s normal for that situation,” McQuaid said. “Need him to go for daily walks, he seems to be very active so would be with an active family. ”

McQuaid and the adoption center will be visiting the 180th Muskingum County Fair on Friday and look forward to seeing everyone there.

“We’ll be selling t-shirts. We’re right inside the front gate at the sheriff’s department tent. They’re $5. We have small, medium, large, various of colors. So, if you would please, stop by. If nothing else, stop by and tell us story about your pup. We always love hearing about different things about your pet and it’s alway a great joy to talk to you,” McQuaid said.
