Dorothy “Mimi” Carnes

Dorothy Jean “Mimi” Carnes 84 of Zanesville passed away Saturday August 29, 2026, at Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care Morrison House. She was born June 12, 1942, in St. Clairsville, OH a daughter of the late Paul and Freda Lyle Glover.

Dorothy worked at the Genesis Daycare as a Pre-K teacher. She loved children and enjoyed all the neighborhood kids. She enjoyed sports and played basketball through her years in school. She loved gardening and sitting outside. She was even known for her “Tanning Recipe” Baby Oil and Butter!

Mimi is survived by her four children: Ty (Tracey) Carnes, Scott (Carolyn) Carnes, Chad Carnes and Crissy Carnes; four grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Dick Carnes.

Cremation services have been entrusted to the Snouffer Crematory. The SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE has the distinct honor of serving the Carnes Family.
