Donald Gutridge

Donald “Pete” L. Gutridge, 94, of Mt. Perry passed at 12:30 PM Monday, August 31, 2026, at Clay Gardens Place.
He was born on Friday, September 18, 1931, in Hopewell Township, Licking County the son of the late Parker Bryan Gutridge and Mary L. Caughenbaugh Gutridge.
Pete was a lifelong member of Gratiot United Methodist Church. He was a1949 Graduate of Hopewell School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He is a retired dairy farmer. Pete served as Hopewell Township Licking County fiscal officer, a former member of National Trail Volunteer Fire Department and served on the Licking County Dairy Board.
Pete is survived by three sons, Randy Gutridge, Patrick (Kim J.) Gutridge and Brett (Fawn) Gutridge; two daughters, Kristy Bidlack and Kim K. (David) Zornow-Snider; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Kathryn Tennent Gutridge; two sisters, Wilda (Gilbert) Kokensparger and Wanda (Don) Mohler; a son-in-law, Steve Zornow and a daughter-in-law, Brenda Gutridge.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at the Bryan and Hardwick Funeral Home. One hour of visitation will be held prior to funeral service at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at the Bryan and Hardwick Funeral Home with Jeff Iden officiating. Burial with military honors will conclude at the Poplar Forks Cemetery, Gratiot, Ohio.
