Paula Lively is the ArtCoZ Artist of the Month for September

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – September’s First Friday Artwalk is this week and ArtCoZ has named Paula Lively as its artist of the month.
Lively is a Zanesville native who has been practicing photography for over 30 years. She’s captured moments behind the lens from events like the Secrest Summer Concert Series and a recent trip out west.
“I took a trip this year with my fiancé and we traveled out west. And I got to photograph the Badlands and got to photograph Yellowstone Park and Custer’s Park, and so I got some really wonderful photographs. We went in the spring, which it’s still winter there, so I got to see the snow on bison, the frost, and it was absolutely wonderful,” Lively said.
Lively’s photography can be seen at the Y Bridge Cultural Arts Center in Downtown Zanesville this Friday. She’s also the secretary for ArtCoZ and loves the First Friday ArtWalk tradition.
“It’s fantastic because we have not only photographers, but we have painters and people who work with yarn, and just everything,” Lively said. “So you can see, not only just us here at Y-Bridge Cultural Arts Center, but you can travel on down through Main Street and see ZAAP and Ron Cole and the Downtown Exchange. Ohio Wine Bourbon [and Beer] usually have a person in there as well. So it’s fantastic for the community. Come down and see. ”
September’s First Friday ArtWalk is this week from 5-8 p.m. You can find an arts district map on ArtCoZ’s website to find more places like the Y Bridge Cultural Arts Center.
