Robert G, Geiger, 87, of Zanesville, died 10:30 AM, Monday, October 9, 2017, at his home in Zanesville.
He was born Monday, January 6, 1930 in Zanesville, the son of Carl Geiger and Kathleen (Teryell) Geiger. He was married to Marlene E. (Frazier) Geiger for 26 years who preceded him in death in 1977.
Mr. Geiger served in the United States Air Force. He was a painter most of his life and a security guard for 20 years in TX.
He is survived by, one daughter, Deborah (John) Geiger of Supply, NC; two sons, William Patrick (Kathy) Geiger of Niles, OH and Dan Eugene (Raelynn Guinn) Geiger of Austintown, OH; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews; two sisters, Frances Rea and Sean Carl “Sue” Jenkins of TX and longtime friend and caregiver Mary Cogar.
In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by one son, Robert “Bobby” Geiger and one brother, Carl Geiger.
Friends may call from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville. A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the funeral home with Father Martin Ralko officiating. Burial will follow at a later date. www.hilliscombsnestor.com.
