Mount Perry Shooting Incident Update

The Perry County Sheriff’s Office says a woman remains at the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail, awaiting formal charges to be filed in a shooting incident that took place yesterday afternoon.

The Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail’s Website indicates that 38-year-old Sabra Hilliard of Perry County was booked around two this morning on felonious assault.

A shooting incident happened around 2:30 p.m. yesterday afternoon at 5888 Cimarron Road. Sergeant John Russell says Bill Wilson and a female were involved in an altercation over money when she presented a gun and shot Wilson in the right shoulder.

Wilson was treated for his wound and released.

The incident is still under investigation.
