Fatal car crash

A Lancaster women died in a fatal car crash Saturday night when a car she was riding in crashed into a utility pole.

Lancaster Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said Passenger 37 year old, Melissa H. Seel, of Lancaster, Ohio was pronounced dead at the scene by Chief Investigator Edward P. Breining of the Fairfield County Coroner’s Office.

Troopers stated she wasn’t wearing her selt belt.

According to Troopers, the car’s driver was Damien A. Butcher of Cleveland, Ohio. He was transported to Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center hospital where he is now in stable condition.

The crash is still under investigation.
