Man Sentenced for Unlawful Sexual Conduct

Monday in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court a Zanesville man was sentenced for unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.

23-year-old Michael Ransom pled guilty in December to three fourth-degree-felony charges.

Judge Mark Fleegle sentenced Ransom to two years community control, 100 hours of community service and he must register as a Tier II sex offender.

Ransom can also have no contact with the victim or the victim’s family.

If he does not properly complete his sentencing requirements he will receive an alternative sentence of nine months in prison.
