Louis Stahovec

Louis “Louie” J. Stahovec, 75, of Lore City, passed away Monday (September 7, 2026) at the Beckett House at New Concord.
He was born July 5, 1951 in Cambridge, son of the late Louis Stahovec and Loretta (Sichina) Stahovec.
A 1969 graduate of Guernsey Catholic Central, Louie retired from Champion Spark Plug after years of dedicated service.
Louie was a US Army veteran. He was a member of the Kipling VFW Post 7371 Old Stoners.
Louie loved the outdoors, especially when he was hunting, fishing, or trapping. He was a fan of Harley Davidson motorcycles as well. He had a couple of vices, but chocolate was his favorite – especially original Reese Cups.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Angel Stahovec; and his uncle & aunt, Eugene and Tillie Bay.
Louie is survived by his son, Louis Stahovec Jr. of Cambridge; his daughter, Amy Stahovec of Cambridge; three brothers, David (& Jan) Stahovec, Brian (& Kerry) Stahovec, and John (& LuAnn) Stahovec all of Lore City; his three grandchildren, Lexie, Angel, and Ruby Stahovec; his three great-grandchildren, Evelynn, Allison, and Axel McEntee; his aunt, Mary Jamiel; his uncle, Bill Sichina; and several nieces & nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the caring staff at the Beckett House for all of their support and kindness over the years.
A memorial Mass will be held Saturday (September 26, 2026) at 10 a.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Lore City, with Father Ryan Budd officiating. Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Senecaville, is handling arrangements.
Burial will follow at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery, Lore City, where full military honors will be accorded to him by the United States Army in conjunction with the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
