Robert Frank Shumate

Robert Frank Shumate, 83 of Lancaster, passed away October 14, 2017 at Grant Medical Center.

He was born October 10, 1934 in Zanesville, son of the late, Elijah Shumate and Ada Sowers Shumate.

He is survived by his niece, Gloria (Stephen) Collopy; nephew, Elijah Waltz; several great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Solomon Shumate, Glen Shumate, Carley Shumate, Phillip Shumate; sisters, Sadie Waltz, Louise Gay; nephews, Edward Waltz Jr., Everett Gay; niece, Mary Wade.

Calling hours will be held 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 20, 2017 at DeLong- Baker & Lanning Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow visitation at Greenwood Cemetery.
