Muskingum Recreation Center open house

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Muskingum Recreation Center is opening its doors to the public for an open house.

The Muskingum Recreation Center will have free access all day to everyone on Wednesday, October 25th. There will be fitness classes offered all day so, everyone can see what the rec center has to offer.

“People are welcome to come in and try us out. Come and play basketball in the gymnasium, work out on the fitness floor, take a swim in the pool. Take a group exercise; you name it,” said Event and Program Manager Becky Weir.

The gym will be open to the public from 5 am to 9 pm. There will be special activities offered from 5 to 8 pm, such as face painting and a 3 point shooting contest.

“From 5 to 8 pm we’ll have special activities in our basketball gymnasium for families and kids and just fun. Grandparents, anybody who wants to come out is welcome. We encourage our members to come and have fun, bring guests and just anyone out in public to come,” said Weir.

Anyone who comes to MRC during the open house will have a chance to win a free year-long membership.
