ZANESVILLE, Ohio- In this week’s Pet of the Week we have two furry ferrets looking for a home.

Meet Duke and Lilly. These two are brother and sister and are almost two years old. Duke and Lilly were surrendered to the shelter by their owner. The shelter would like to keep these two together in the same home. Shelter Director Jody Murray says the pair will make a great addition to any family.

“They’re very friendly. You know, you can see they’re kind of active, a little bit. Just very friendly and get along well. If you like a pet that you just want to cuddle with and pet and handle, you know, these ferrets make great pets.”

Duke and Lilly have already had their surgeries and are ready to go home. Their adoption fees are $100 each. They’re easy to take care of, only needing a cage and litter box. In other shelter news, the Shelter’s annual calendar is available for purchase.

“We’ve been doing a shelter calendar for the past several years and our calendar is complete for 2018. Many pictures and information about the Shelter about activities at the Shelter some of the adoptions we’ve had.”

Murray says the calendars make great gifts and can help you keep track of all of your appointments. The calendars are $15 and all proceeds go to the shelter.
