ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Zanesville Community Theatre is performing In-Laws, Outlaws, and Other People, (That Should Be Shot.)

The play is a comedy centered around a Christmas setting. Without giving too much away, the play takes place in an upper-middle-class home in Brooklyn, New York. It’s 6 PM on Christmas Eve and it’s snowing heavily. Director Sarah Gantzer said this is the perfect play for anyone who has had a bad Christmas dinner with their family.

“This family is getting ready, it’s Christmas Eve and they have every relative coming to visit for the holidays,” said Gantzer. “Their dinner is interrupted when two bumbling robbers come in and decided to take the family hostage. They’re on the run”

Gantzer compares it to Home Alone or Christmas Vacation. Due to the play being a comedy there is plenty of shenanigans and funny twists. Assistant director Cary Underwood said you should come out to see the show, it shows what the holidays are about.

“It’s just a really wonderful cast of people that really love making people happy,” said Underwood.

If you missed the show this weekend, don’t worry, you can see it on November 3rd and 4th at 8 PM and November 5th at 2:30 PM.
