‘Beat Iowa’ watch party at The Barn

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- A sports bar is hosting a local Ohio State Alumni Club game day party.

The O-S-U Alumni Club of Muskingum County is having a Buckeye game day watch party at The Barn this Saturday, November 4th. The ‘Beat Iowa’ watch party will begin at 2:30 with kick-off at 3:30. There will be a raffle and silent auction on Ohio State gear.

“Every year we choose an away Ohio State football game and we gather down at The Barn, have a little party and watch the game,” said Kopchak. “Along with that, we’ll be having a special scholarship raffle and a silent auction.”

The money raised from the raffle, auction, and donation will go to the Alumni clubs scholarship program. The goal is to give over $10,000 to current and future Ohio State students. The OSU Alumni Club has received recognition for all the good they have done in the Muskingum Community.

“We have won for the 6th consecutive year now, the Outstanding Alumni Club award from the OSU alumni association and we have to meet certain criteria to do that,” said Kopchak. “Individually, I was selected as a ‘Pay it Forward’ award recipient this fall. That’s awarded to a local alumni club leaders who exhibit outstanding volunteerism and service to the both the club and the university.”
