Betty Davis

Betty Ann Davis, age 72, of Zanesville, OH passed away at The Laurels of Heath in Heath, Ohio. She was born to the late Robert Meril Franklin and Wilma Irene (Ray) Hartwell on March 10, 1954 in Zanesville.
Betty was a long-time member of North Terrace Church of Christ and an avid bingo player. She worked as a bartender for many years at various locations in the Zanesville area.
Betty fought a long and difficult battle with lung disease, facing every challenge with incredible strength, courage, and a positive spirit. Through it all, she never gave up. She will be remembered not for the illness she endured, but for the strength, resilience, and determination with which she faced it. Her unwavering spirit and ability to find hope even in difficult times were an inspiration to all who knew and loved her.
Betty is survived by her children, Stephen Davis, Lori (Joe) Marshall, and Tammy Curtice; step-son, Robert Davis; grandchildren, Justin, Alexander, and Jordan Jackowski, Cayden Curtis, Torri (Austin) Williams, Seth Davis, and Khloe Starkey; great grandchildren, Asher and Carson Williams, and Kalli Jo Davis; brother, Leonard (Jennifer) Hartwell; and special “sisters” Carolyn Bell, Crystal Bollinger, and Karla Steed. She also leaves behind many friends, cousins, and other extended family.
In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth Girts; step-father, Leonard H. Hartwell and brother, Robert Franklin
A service will be held at 6pm on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at Farus Funeral Home, Duncan Falls. Family will greet friends from 4-6pm prior to the service. Betty will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park at a later date.
