Muskingum County Library System November events

Muskingum County Library System

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The month of November is a busy month for the Muskingum County Library System.

There are events at all the branches of the MCLS. They range from a family night with a magician at the Main Branch in Zanesville on November 16th, to animals shows at both the South Zanesville and Duncan Falls branches.

“South Zanesville is a nocturnal animal group and Duncan Falls has Ironwood Wolves coming with their fox,” said Assistant Librarian Caleb Stewart. “They’re going to bring their fox ambassador. Then at Roseville, they’re doing at potluck actually tomorrow. So if you want to make some food and bring it out, you can hang out at the library and eat some good food.”

One of the events going on at the John McIntire Library is the ‘WORKshop’ series, Helping You Get the Job You Want. Stewart says this series partners the library up with Ohio Means Jobs. It’s designed to help out people in the community become more successful in applying for jobs.

“Whether you got a job now and you’re wanting to look somewhere else to further your career or you don’t have a job and you’re looking for one but, you’re not quite sure how to interview well you can get some practice in, without having the nerves of actually being in an interview. LinkedIn learning how to use it greatly to get your profile out there, it’s sort of like Facebook but, for professionals. And it will help businesses see who you are and what you do.”

Those career building ‘WORKshops’ will be on November 13th, 20th, and 27th at 6 p.m. For a full list of MCLS events and times go to Muskingumlibrary.org.
