Paul Nunley
Paul Marvin Nunley, 80, of Zanesville, died at 6:43 P.M. on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 22, 1945, in Washington DC, a son of the late Walter James and Anna (Varriale) Nairn. Paul proudly served our country as a United States Navy Veteran, he was a certified medical assistant and a “jack of all trades”. Paul also called Ocala, FL. home during his life before eventually making his home in Zanesville. He lived an adventurous life and held a variety of jobs throughout the years, including working as a radio announcer and for Disney, he also worked as a restaurant manager at Wendy’s and Burger King. Of all the work he did, the most meaningful was his time as a certified medical assistant for a physician in Ocala. It was there that he met Sharon, the woman who would become his loving wife.
Paul had a lifelong love for Elvis Presley and was an Elvis tribute artist until the very end. He was happiest enjoying the sunshine and beaches of Florida, visiting Disney Parks, taking cruises, singing karaoke, and going to car shows. He was also known to never pass up a China Buffett.
Above all things, Paul loved his family. His children, siblings, his wife, and those closest to him were an important part of his life, the memories they made together will remain long after his passing.
He is survived by his wife Sharon O. (Simon) Nunley; daughters, Amy (Scott) Creel of Ocala FL, and Rachel (Roy) Davis of Zanesville, OH.; sons, Paul Marvin Jr. (Linda) Nunley of Bettsville, MD., Walter (Rhonda) Nunley of Raymondsville, MI., Andrew Nunley of Aburndale FL., and Samuel (Michelle) Hinds of Chargin Falls, OH.; siblings, Josie and Lynn Reece of Randleman, NC., Angela Nunley of Ocala, FL., James and Louise Nunley of Taunton, MA.; his grandchildren and great grandchildren; dear friends, Marcia, Pauline, Jerry and Margaret, and Connie.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
