ZANESVILLE, OH – Chad Kettlewell has been named the ZAAP Galley’s Artist of the Month for October.

Kettlewell is a photographer and has three different landscape scenes for everyone to enjoy this first Friday Artwalk.

He says he wanted to share some of his favorite landscapes so he went back to capture what he’s been seeing with the community.

“One is of the lake, it’s actually Salt Fork State Park, that’s the one that’s behind me. It was work that was mostly done in the morning, foggy, misty, moody stuff that a lot of folks like and fitting for the season.” Kettlewell said. “The one over here is a mountain stream in West Virginia that’s a few hours away and fall so maybe also a little bit of seasonal work there. Another one is the beach, which a lot of folks enjoy over the summer and so I thought that would be a fun one to show as well.”

Kettlewell’s works take up one side of the gallery but on the other side are some works done by fellow ZAAP members, with plenty of seasonal pieces to get you in the spooky mood.

He says he wanted to challenge himself a bit with these pieces by working on his composition and hope the community enjoys them as much as he does.

“It’s an honor to be Artist of the Month, and it’s fun! I’ve never seen this much of my work in one place.” Kettlewell said. “So it’s pretty cool, so it’s an honor, there’s a lot of interesting things going on around town this weekend also, The Downtown Exchange Artisans Market, Elk’s Eye Art Market has over 30 artists and craftspersons there and Ed Rogers, my friend, is over at Ron Cole’s with a bunch of Halloween stuff so, go check him out.”

If you are interested in seeing more of Kettlewell’s works, you can head to his website.

The ZAAP Gallery will be open from 5 to 8PM on Friday for the Artwalk.
