Presidential Major Disaster Declared for Ohio floods

WASHINGTON, D.C. – President Donald Trump has approved a major disaster declaration for the state of Ohio, according to a press release from the office of Congressman Troy Balderson.
The declaration makes federal assistance available to Ohio residents affected by the floods in early August. A Presidential Major Disaster Declaration was requested by Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine on Sept. 2 followed by a request signed by Balderson, Senator Jon Husted, and Senator Bernie Moreno on Sept. 3.
“After weeks of working with the Governor, FEMA, and local officials, I’m grateful President Trump approved Ohio’s major disaster declaration,” said Balderson in a press release. “This federal assistance will help families, businesses, and communities across Ohio begin rebuilding after these devastating storms. Our work isn’t over—I will continue working to make sure my constituents have access to every resource available to them as they recover.”
