Rambo Memorial Health Offers Free Flu Shots

ZANESVILLE, OH – Flu season is here, and Rambo Memorial Health Center is making it a little easier to roll up your sleeve and stay protected.

The health center stopped at Ohio University Zanesville today, partnering with nursing students to provide flu shots at no cost to Muskingum County residents. Rambo Memorial has already held a clinic at Muskingum University and plans to visit Mid-East Career and Technology centers next. The partnership gives nursing students hands-on experience while helping make flu vaccines more accessible in the community.

“We make it accessible for people to get their flu shot and it also gives the nursing student community practice on giving flu vaccines. That way, everybody is covered, they get to give the flu vaccines and participate in a clinic. It’s a win for everybody.” Executive Director at Rambo Memorial Health, Shannon Bell said.

Rambo Memorial Health Center will continue partnering with area schools for flu shot clinics throughout the community. They’ll be at OUZ Wednesday, October 7th until 3:30, offering free flu shots. The clinic is open to the public.
