Norman J. Hurd age 65, of Macksburg, OH passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, OH. He was born on Saturday, July 15, 1961 in Baltimore, MD, the son of the late Edward L. and Patricia Mullineaux Hurd.

Norman truly enjoyed being in and observing nature. He could often be found fishing or simply watching deer, eagles, hawks, and all of nature’s beauty. He was also an avid University of Michigan football fan and loved relaxing indoors with his favorite phone games.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother Lawrence E. Hurd Jr.; a grandson Ayden and brother-in-law Donald Bias Sr.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter Amber (Arron) LaLonde of Parma, OH; grandchildren Avan, Autumn, and Addilyn; sister Rebecca Bias of Macksburg, OH; brother Jerry (Jean) Hurd of Marietta, OH. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.

Cremation will be observed with no additional services held at this time. Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724 has been entrusted to care for the family.
