Education of Yesterday Show Returns for 22nd Year

2026 Education Of Yesterday Take 2

DRESDEN, OH – A show that demonstrates how farmers put food on the table for their families back in the day is returning for its 22nd year.

The Education of Yesterday Farm Show is taking place this Saturday and Sunday at 3685 Cass Irish Ridge Rd., the intersection of SR 16 and 60.

Kendra Moore-Hindel, the Show Coordinator, says it was her father’s vision to be able to teach the kids of today how far equipment has come since the first versions.

“If you haven’t been before, you have to make sure to put this on your list. Lots of tractors, antique tractors, but there are some new ones too.” Moore-Hindel said. “All kinds of antiques, construction, hit and miss engines, a train, take a train ride, we’ve got the grist mill that has some antiques in it and then there’s a toy display of old barns that are handmade.”

There will also be a competition where teams of 6 will be timed on putting a tractor back together and Moore-Hindel says the record to beat is around 8 minutes.

She says there is no cost to get in, but if you’re feeling generous they do accept donations to keep the show running for years to come.

“It’s fun for everyone ages 0 to 99, even if someone is 100 come on out.” Moore-Hindel said. “You think farm show but it’s not your typical farm show, it’s fun for everybody and educational. That’s our point, our mission is to educate the younger generation about the ways farming was done in the past and we get out there with our one row corn picker. They see the 16 row or bigger heads out there on the combines and we get out there and do it with what they originally did it with, so it’s something to see and educational.”
