Suzanne (Suzie) Parrish

Suzanne Parrish, 81, of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away on October 5, 2026.
A lifelong resident of Zanesville, Suzanne graduated from Zanesville High School. She shared 51 years of marriage with her late husband, Bill Parrish, and retired from Greif Bros. Corporation.
Suzanne enjoyed camping and loved taking friends to the family cabin in Pennsylvania. She also loved to travel, enjoying cruises to Hawaii, Alaska, and the Caribbean, as well as long cross-country road trips visiting national parks. She spent many winters in Zephyrhills, Florida, where the friendships she formed became a special part of her life.
She was a member of the Pieceable Quilters Guild for more than 20 years, where she made many wonderful friends and cherished memories. She made dozens of quilts, giving them to family, friends, and complete strangers. Through the guild’s Military Appreciation group, she also gave quilts to veterans in appreciation of their service. Her generosity lives on in the quilts that continue to bring warmth and comfort to others.
Suzanne loved animals of all kinds and shared her home with many beloved pets throughout her life, including her cat, Buster.
She is survived by her son, Troy Parrish of Pleasantville, Ohio; daughter, Suzette (Mark) Bean of Stow, Ohio; grandchildren, Brandon (Brittany) Parrish, Dakota Bean and his girlfriend, Amber Pinczes, and Breanne Parrish and her fiancé, Ryan Alspaugh; great-grandchildren, Stetson, Raven, and Ezra; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and many nieces, nephews, and wonderful friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Parrish; parents, Bill and Mabelle Barnett; brother, Bob Barnett; sister, Joyce Chapman; and parents-in-law, George and Alyce Parrish.
In a final act of generosity, Suzanne donated her body to science to make a lasting impact on the future of medicine.
Cremation will take place, and a celebration of Suzanne’s life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Animal Shelter Society or the Pieceable Quilters Guild Military Appreciation group.
