Muskingum County K-9 Adoption Center Dog of the Week; Meet Tenpenny!

ZANESVILLE, OH – This Week’s Dog of the Week is a sweet puppy that’s still learning his strength.

Meet Tenpenny! He’s a two-year-old black lab mix who appears to be dog friendly, loves everyone he meets, and is searching for his forever family.

Robin McQuaid, a Volunteer at the K-9 Adoption Center, says when Tenpenny came in as a stray he was very thin but he’s been hard at work getting back to a healthy weight.

“So right now he’s pretty much at a healthy weight, he’s a very lovable dog.” McQuaid said. “This black lab mix would need walked daily, he needs to run, he needs to play with children and families, and just interact with people, so I really feel like anybody would be a good owner for him, who enjoys a black lab mix who’s very active.”

McQuaid wanted to thank those who came along to their trunk-or-treat for the dogs on Monday night.

She says it was so great to see the pups out in their costumes, enjoying all the treats local businesses had to offer.

“We had a record number of attendees so we know this is going to be a yearly event.” McQuaid said. “Many things were given out to the dogs, free items, so and they were just so adorable in their costumes so we appreciate everyone who took time to stop by and support the Muskingum County K-9 Adoption Center.”
