Salvation Army held annual Red Kettle campaign kick off

Zanesville, Ohio- Yesterday, members of The Salvation Army gathered together to host their annual Red Kettle holiday fundraiser. Many volunteers sacrificed their time, and efforts to be sure this event was a success.

“This is for the volunteers that come to ring the bells and their having a little get together for them to start off the season for bell ringing,” said Volunteer, Mark Miller.

Not only is the Red Kettle campaign a way to give back, but it’s also a way to become hands on with those that make up the local community.

“The kettle donations is a remarkable way to make tons of money to help the community. So we’re just a kick off to get it started. There’s going to be singing here and there’s going to be soup for everybody and it’s going to be a great day,” said volunteer Scarlet Wright.

Members of the Salvation Army hope this year more and more people will donate in support of those in need. If you’re looking to show your support, you can contact the Salvation Army at (740)-452-8350.
