ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Zanesville Museum of Art receives its largest donation from Beaux Arts Club.

The museum just received $33,000 from the arts club. The money will be used for education programs as well as displaying new exhibitions for the public.

“It was the most money we’ve ever raised and we gave the net profit $33,000 to the museum. Which goes for display cases, conserving art, educational programs, new art. Our mission is to promote and support the Zanesville Museum of Art,” said President Karen Baker.

The money raised came from the proceeds of Beaux Arts annual ‘Art in the Garden Gala.’ Baker said the Zanesville Art Museum is a blessing to the community.

“That’s a wonderful facility to have in this town of Zanesville. Beautiful art, poetry, it’s carrying out the tradition of pottery in Zanesville. It’s just an important part of our cultural heritage in Zanesville,” said Baker.

If you would like to visit the Zanesville Art Museum you can visit ZanesvilleArt.org for hours of operation.
