Penny Patterson
Penny Patterson, age 59, passed away on October 17, 2026 at her home, surrounded by loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer. She leaves behind a lifetime of love an beautiful memories that will forever live in the hearts of those who knew an loved her. Penny was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and daughter who devoted her life to taking care of others. She was the kind of person who always put everyone else first and was there whenever someone needed her.
Her family meant everything to her, and there was nothing she loved more than spending time with the people she held closest to her heart.
Penny leaves behind her loving husband of 44 years Sam Patterson, her two daughters Nicole (Travis) Matheney and Cortney Williams, her mother Barbara Mackey, her sister Cyndi & Gary Mason, brother Rusty Mackey and her five beloved grandchildren, Connor, Rihanna, Trey, Sawyer, and Cyrus, who brought so much joy and happiness into her life.
She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Popeye, who held a special place in her heart.
Penny was preceded in death by her father Paul Mackey and her father in law and mother in Law Dick & Lila Patterson.
Penny’s love for her family, her caring heart, and her willingness to always be there for others are just a few of the things that made her so special.
She had a heart that always made room for others and a natural way of making sure everyone was taken care of. Her grandchildren were a huge part of her world and the time she spent with them was something she treasured deeply. Her family was her greatest blessing, and the love she had for them was endless. Through her passing leaves a tremendous hole in the hearts of those who loved her, the love she gave, then memories she created and the kindness she showed to everyone around her will never be forgotten.
Penny spent her life taking care of the people she loved and she leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her love, her memories and the special place she held in their hearts. Forever loved, forever missed and never forgotten.
Visitation will be at Bundy-Law Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 20, 2026 from 4pm to 7pm and on Wednesday, from 10am to 11am with services beginning at 11am.
