Sandra Jones
Sandra Jayne Jones, 76, of Nashport passed at 9:09 AM Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at her home.
She was born on Wednesday, November 30, 1949, in Zanesville, Ohio, the daughter of the late George Hodgson and Blanche Ewing Hodgson.
Sandra was a member of Muskingum Church. She graduated from Philo High School. Sandra attended Ohio University where she studied Nursing and later got her master’s from Otterbein. Sandra worked as a nurse and nurse practitioner at Genesis Hospital and also a Professor of Nursing at OUZ.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Jones, three children, J.D. (Amy) Wilson, Joshua (Angel) Wilson and Danielle (Mike) Mathers; nine grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Ella, Lance, Caitlin, Gwen, Shelby, Bryce, Cassandra and Micah; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by 4 sisters, Norma, Carolyn, Marjorie and Barbara.
Friends may call 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Friday, October 23, 2026, at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home with Donna Edsall officiating. Burial will conclude at the Zanesville Memorial Park.
