Polished Beauty Collective Brings Beauty and Giving Back to New Concord

NEW CONCORD, OH – A new beauty salon in New Concord is helping residents look and feel their best while giving back to the community.

At just 24 years old, Katie Hivnor is turning her longtime passion into her very own business. After eight years as a nail technician, Hivnor is now the proud owner of Polished Beauty Collective.

“I’ve always wanted to own my own salon,” Hivnor said. “I really wanted to bring something to the community that everyone can feel included in.”

Polished Beauty Collective offers a variety of services, including nails, pedicures, hair services, and spray tans, with plans to add teeth whitening and additional services in the future. The salon also supports other local entrepreneurs, featuring products from approximately six small businesses. Customers can shop for items including baked foods, hair products, and handmade jewelry.

Beyond beauty services, Hivnor is also giving back this holiday season. Throughout November, Polished Beauty Collective is hosting a toy, coat, and shoe drive benefiting the Salvation Army. Donations of all kinds are welcome, with a particular need for women’s medium coats and coats for boys ages 12 to 14.

Donations can be dropped off at Polished Beauty Collective, located at 185 West Main Street, Suite F, in New Concord.

The salon is also hiring nail technicians and hairstylists. Those interested in employment opportunities or scheduling an appointment can visit Polished Beauty Collective’s Facebook page for more information.

For Hivnor, opening her own salon is about more than beauty. It’s about creating a welcoming space where everyone can feel comfortable while making a positive impact on the community.
