Olaf and Olga Hanson foundation award 2017 scholarships

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- One local organization awards their college scholarship recipients. 

The miss Olaf and miss Olga Hanson scholarship committee awarded their 2017 recipients. Ohio State student, Megan Bell and Harding University student, Tiffany Beck we’re elated to receive their awards.

“So today Tiffany and I received a scholarship from Miss Olaf Hanson and Miss Olga Hanson. This is a scholarship to help us pursue our degrees in education,” said recipient Megan Bell.

Being able to be a part of helping propel young people into their future means a lot to the committee leaders and staff.

“Well it’s something that Olaf felt very strongly about, that she was helped by others to get to her masters level in education. It’s really wonderful to be able to support people when they’re trying to achieve at teaching people,” said committee member, Vicki Whitacre.
