Animal Shelter Black Friday Sale
ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Black Friday is one of the biggest shopping days of the year with shoppers getting insane deals and the local shelter has a sweet deal for all of the pet lovers.
The Animal Shelter Society is having a one day only Black Friday sale on all black cats and dogs. Shelter Executive Director Jody Murray says, starting at 10 a.m. potential pet owners can come to the shelter and find their new furry friend for a special price.
“Any of our cats and any of our dogs that have the color black on them, they’ll have some special prices. Anywhere from half price and just a lot of special pricing.”
During the sale, owners will get 50 percent off the adoption fee for dogs. Cats will be $10 and all rabbits will be just $5. There are lots of black animals waiting for homes including this 3-month-old male kitten. He’s a happy, healthy kitty who has already had his surgeries. He’s ready for his furever home and a name.
“This little guy which we call “A” as in the letter “a” simply because he came in with several siblings and we didn’t have enough names to be able to give him a proper name,” says Murray. “So his adoptive family will be able to give him a fresh name.”
The Shelter also has doorbusters for early shoppers. From 10 a.m. until noon anyone who adopts an animal will receive a free ID tag and a free 2018 shelter calendar.
