How residents are tackling the winter weather

Snow

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Winter has certainly arrived here in Muskingum County. As snowfall began to stick overnight, the city of Zanesville saw between 2-3 inches by morning.

Saturday, we spoke with local residents about how they’re handling and equipping themselves for this winter weather.

“I’ve been out here about a half hour. I love the cold weather, so it’s fun for me to get outside and do this. It doesn’t take me very long and I enjoy the exercise as well,” said Zanesville Resident, Andy Steinman.

Although snow trucks have been out plowing the main roads, Steinman had some advice for those who are shoveling their driveways this weekend.

“I guess the main things it to make sure that you stay warm because if you get cold, you’re going to slow down. So stay warm, just pace yourself, don’t overwork yourself and you’ll be fine,” said Steinman.

According to weather officials, the winter conditions will continue to be low in temperature. This weekend, be sure to drive with caution and stay warm headed into the new year.
