ZPD Officer Injured in Fight

A Zanesville Police officer was injured over the weekend responding to a call. Police say Saturday night close to midnight an officer was called to Just One More bar on Linden Avenue in reference to a fight. Police say the officer tried to break up the incident, but was attacked and assaulted and was injured. Police say of the two suspects involved, one fled and the other was arrested and will be facing charges. The officer was treated and released at the hospital and is on leave pending the outcome of an MRI. No names or charges have been released. The incident remains under investigation.
