Alternative Medicine: Yoga

For many of us, the daily grind can be incredibly stressful.

WHIZ’s Audry Kensicki looks at a different option to releasing that tension in the second part of her alternative health series.

"For me, it was the stress that was killing me," said Carol Kaib.

For Carol Kaib, the stresses of life from day to day were becoming over-whelming. But she found a way to take a step back by practicing yoga, with one goal in mind.

"to quiet the mind, quiet the body," she said.

Carol loved yoga so much, she became an instructor and has been teaching for many years.

Over time, she’s seen numerous benefits from it.

"Doing the postures benefits our flexibility," said Kaib. "As we age, we do get a little tighter in the joints."

And it’s not only flexibility yoga can help with …

"The art of breathing, the art of relaxation. In this fast paced world, it’s very difficult to keep the stress down," she said.
