ZAAP New Director

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Zanesville Appalachian Arts Project now has a new director to start 2018.
This is Chloe Kohl first month as ZAAP’s new director. She has been part of ZAAP for about a year and a half. As director, she wants to act based on what the members wants and make changes for the better.
“We want to get some new membership in here. Some young people. Of course, we love our members but, we just want to get more membership, new membership, get some new different people. We’re also hoping to get some live music in here in the future. This month we’re starting that. Brady Israel is going to be here (January 4th) playing guitar for us. So hopefully in the future, we’re going to have people here every first Friday playing for us,” said Kohl.
ZAAP’s using the first month to look ahead with a new director but, also looking back at members work from 2017. This month featured wall comes from artists who joined in 2017.
“We’ve had several new members in 2017. Some great people, I think several of them are down at the Masonic Temple so they galleries down there so you can check them out down there and then here as well. They always have a couple things here every month. So, that’s great to have that. It’s nice for them as well to be featured in a couple places,” said Kohl.
The First Friday Art Walk of the year will still be January 4th despite the cold temperatures. First Friday is from 5 to 8 P.M.
