Vote for the WHIZ-TV basketball player of the week

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Every Monday throughout the basketball season WHIZ-TV will give out a basketball player of the week honor to one area athlete, and you can vote for who you want to win!

The four candidates are listed below. To vote, visit the WHIZ Sports twitter page and click what player you think should win.

Lilly Ritz (Cambridge) – In a 52-24 victory over Meadowbrook, Ritz scored 23 points, had 17 rebounds, and seven steals. She also became the school’s all time leading scorer with 1,277 career points.
Seth Russell (New Lexington) – The Panther senior scored a game high 19 points and pulled down 20 boards in a 54-41 win over rival Crooksville.
Kenzie Newsom (Zanesville) -Newsom had an incredible 13 steals in a 70-22 rout of Coshocton to go along with her game high 26 points.
Justin Heacock (John Glenn) – After a 10 game layoff, Heacock scored 19 points to help the Little Muskie hand Meadowbrook just their second loss of the season. His Little Muskies are now 8-3 and in second place in the MVL.
