ZANESVILLE, Ohio — The Rosecrans Lady Bishops were edged by Grandview Heights on Monday night by a final of 34-32.

The Lady Bishops took a 31-30 lead late in the game thanks to a steal on the defensive end by Claire Creeks, which she turned into two quick points at the other end. Creeks finished with just six points on the night.

The Bobcats came right back then when Tayler Pierce got an “and-one” to put Grandview Heights back on top 32-31 after Pierce’s missed free-throw.

Pierce would make up for her miss though. After a free-throw at the Rosecrans end tied the game at 32, Pierce went baseline and scored a layup with just seconds to play to give the Bobcats the 34-32 victory.

Tessa Littick lead the Lady Bishops on the night with 12 points.

Monday’s game was the first of three games in four days for the Rosecrans. They are back at it on Tuesday night when they play at Fisher Catholic, before traveling to Hebron on Thursday night to face Lakewood.
