Newark Man Killed in SR 16 Accident

A Newark man was killed in a traffic accident on State Route 16 on Monday.

Troopers from the Granville Post of the State Highway Patrol said 34-year-old Jordan Fogle, of Newark, was traveling west on State Route 16 near Dayton Road around 3:30 Monday afternoon.

That’s when the said his vehicle traveled off the left side of the road then slid of the right side of the road before striking a tree in the driver’s door.

Authorities said Fogle was transported to Licking Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Troopers reported he wasn’t wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. The accident remains under investigation.
