New Lexington Child Dies in Accident

JACKSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio-  A 4-year-old child is dead and his 6-year-old brother is in the hospital in critical condition after a four-car crash on I-270 on January 28th.

Both 4-year-old Matthew Cremeans and 6-year-old Danny are from New Lexington and according to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, neither were wearing a seat belt or in their car seats. According to the Sheriff’s Office, Sarah Christman was driving a Ford and hit Robert Cremeans who was driving a GMC. After the crash, the two children were ejected from the GMC’s back window.

The GMC then hit a Pontiac which then collided with a Toyota. There were no other reports of injuries at this time. Alcohol or drugs does not appear to be a factor and the investigation is still ongoing.

I-270 was closed for multiple hours but, has reopened.
