ZANESVILLE, Ohio- A local food service organization has an easy way for people to help it serve the community a hot meal.

Christ’s Table serves between 9,500 and 10,000 meals a month. Christ’s Table Executive Director Keely Warden said the most giving months are in the holiday season but, even though it’s now February Christ’s Table still needs assistance from the community.

“Tis the season, that’s dried up, and I always say that. Everybody gives in November and December and we thank our community for that profusely, but the need is still there and the numbers are here. It’s cold people need a hot meal and I think I can safely speak for all nonprofits in our community,” said Warden.

Warden said Christ’s Table has come up with a program where the community can help out very easily. People can sign up for a coupon book that will automatically donate $10 each month. She said just $10 can make a such a difference.

“That’s 200 meals, that you can serve with just $10 a month. It’s easy to do. We have a coupon book that you can conveniently put in your bill box. When the first of the month rolls around, you can send your $10 to Christ’s Table. We can actually take it through a credit card or a debit card and we encourage everybody to continue that giving all year long,” said Warden.

The coupon books are now available. If you would like to get one you can contact Christ’s Table at (740) 452-9766.
