Friday Morning Fire on Maysville Avenue

The South Zanesville Fire Department is looking for the cause of an early Friday morning fire.

It happened at 39 Maysville Avenue across from Fink’s Used Cars.

Chief Russell Taylor says when they arrived on the scene before 4:00 a.m. the house was fully engulfed in flames. He says it took fire crews over two hours to extinguish the flames.

The home is owned by Jim Miller.

Chief Russell says the extreme cold conditions this morning caused some of his fire equipment to freeze.

The Maysville Pike was shut down to traffic for s short period of time and then reopened. There were no injuries reported.
