Sheriff Lutz: Jonathan Creek Suspect Identified

Muskingum Count Sheriff Matt Lutz has identified the suspect who jumped into Jonathan Creek early Friday morning.  Lutz says 43-year-old Michael A. Fowler of Westerville was found deceased in Jonathan Creek Saturday afternoon a short distance from where he went under water.  Fowler was the registered owner of the vehicle that was recovered.  The Muskingum County Coroner’s Office  has ordered an autopsy and the investigation is continuing.  Lutz says it all started around 2:30 Friday morning when one of his deputies was trying to stop a vehicle and the driver crashed and fled on foot.The Sheriff says the man jumped into Jonathon Creek in an effort to elude the deputy and went down about halfway across the waterway.
