Zanesville Chamber of Commerce to host Legislative Breakfast

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- An annual breakfast connecting businesses to local lawmakers is just around the corner.
The Legislative Breakfast hosted by the Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce gives businesses an opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the government officials that represent Zanesville. Chamber President Dana Matz said Senator Troy Balderson, Representative Brian Hill, Mayor Jeff Tilton, and Commissioner Jim Porter will all be in attendance. Matz said Tilton and Porter will provide updates on issues in the city.
“The Senator and the State Rep will talk about the different committees they are on and different things that they’re committees are facing. And hopefully some of the success they’ve had in 2017.”
Matz said this gives members an opportunity to hear about bills the lawmakers are working on and committees they are part of. It also gives members an opportunity to have conversations with the officials and talk about any concerns they may have.
“So it’s a nice way for the local businesses to hear about what our elected officials are doing, not only to help us locally but at the state level,” said Matz. “If they have questions they have the opportunity to ask those at that meeting. And then generally these gentlemen are also available after the meeting.”
The breakfast will take place Friday, February 23rd from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at Eaglesticks Golf Club. Tickets are $10 per person or $100 for a corporate table. Space is limited so you’ll want to register as soon as possible. You can register online at www.zmchamber.com.
