Ronald  Lee MacLean, 74, of  Zanesville made his last flight 2:57 AM  Sunday, February 11, 2018 at the Adams Lane Care Center under Hospice Care following a long battle with Alzheimer’s .

He was born on Tuesday, March 02, 1943 in Zanesville, OH the son of Nelson H. MacLean and B. Jean Rambo MacLean.

Ron was a member of Rix Mills Presbyterian Church and was part owner of Ashford-MacLean Insurance Agency in Roseville. He was a Pilot-Aviation Enthusiast and was a member since 1986 of the National EAA, a 32nd Degree Mason of the Peerless Lodge #591 F & AM Masonic Lodge in Crooksville, and a member of the Valley of Cambridge Scottish Rite and a past member of the Zanesville Moose Lodge. Ron enjoyed flying, painting, dancing and was a very social person. He will be missed by his family & many friends.

He is survived by his fiancé Wanda Herron of Chandlersville; his children, Rhonda MacLean Reagan, Scott MacLean and Laura (Blake Betz) MacLean; 5 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Robert “Bob” MacLean and Jim MacLean, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life service at 4:00 PM with Pastor Jim Gibson officiating.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
