Scotties rally to clinch share of MVL title

DRESDEN, Ohio – The Scottie boys trailed Philo by eight points at halftime, but held Philo to just seven second half points to get the 47-30 win and clinch at least a share of the MVL title.

The Scotties finish 14-2 in the Muskingum Valley League. The win means they’ll get at least a share of the league title for the second year in a row. If John Glenn gets beat in their final league game against West Muskingum then the Scotties would take the MVL title outright.

Jake Mcloughlin was the leading scorer for the Scotties with 11 points in the come from behind win.

Tri-Valley will wrap up the regular season with a non-confernece game at DeSales on Saturday.

Philo finishes the the regular season with an overall record of 15-8 and 10-6 in the MVL.
