Big Brother Big Sister Kick-off event

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Big Brothers Big Sisters marquee fundraiser is officially underway.

An informational session took place for this year’s Bowl for Kids’ Sake at the Barn. People were allowed to asked questions about the organization and the event as well as given the opportunity to sign up. The executive director of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Zanesville Jenni Masterson said this year’s bowling event will be themed around Doctor Seuss.

“Not only is he fun and colorful, there’s a lot of great characters. We give prizes out to the teams that dress up and have the best character references. But also, some of the messages in Dr. Suess’s books are really relevant today, All the places you go, if you have a mentor, someone who cares about you we can send kids to a lot of great places,” said Masterson.
