Muskingum County Fair

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Country music fans will be able to see two country music stars in concert later this year.

Montgomery Gentry and Jo Dee Messina will both be performing on August 17 at the Muskingum County Fair. Messina has nine number one hits and this will be Eddie Montgomery’s first tour without the late Troy Gentry.

“They’ve had a guy from their back line step up and going to sing Gentry’s portion of the songs. Montgomery was always the lead of most of their recording stuff. Tickets will go on sale this Saturday, March the 3rd, at 9 A.M. via our website. and we’re excited about having those two here,” said Secretary of the Fair Doug Guinsler.

Guinsler said the fair will also offer the classic county fair staples with still giving a new twist for fairgoers.

“We try to refresh everything we can. We got a tremendous 4-H program within this county which keeps a new influx of kids every year and parents and of the fair staples. We’re very fortunate to have eight or nine home cook, church stands, or booster organizations that provide meals,” said Guinsler.
