Warning Sent to East Guernsey Parents

East Guernsey School District warns parents of students being solicited for photographers on various social medial platforms.

The School District said within the last two days they’ve received two complaints of students accepting friend requests from unknown individuals, who then ask the students for photos.

The school said to their knowledge no students sent back photos.

The messages were reviewed and school officials said the individuals were calculated in what or how they requested information to avoid breaking the law.

The school district said they encourage parents to be aware of what social media accounts their children have and what they’re writing on the internet, as well as what others are posting in reply.

East Guernsey Schools said they’ll continue to provide internet security within the school.
