Philo Joins Online Checkbook

Money

The Village Of Philo becomes the latest government entity to join Ohio Treasurer Josh Mandel’s online checkbook.

Philo’s online checkbook includes over 760,000 transactions that represent more than $213,000 of total spending over fiscal year 2017.

Philo’s treasurer Melanie Smith said the online checkbook provides a free and modern tool for citizens to view how their tax dollars are being spent.

Ohiocheckbook.com was launched in December of 2014 marking the first time in Ohio History where citizens could actually see every expenditure in state government.
